Lambikin's Happenings Newsletter - Fall 2004
On November 18, 2002 Lambikin’s Hideaway first opened our doors at 573 Main Street. A little less than 2 years later, September 11, 2004 will be our last day at our current location.
That’s right, we are moving! 217 South B Street will be the new home of Lambikin’s Hideaway.
It is hard to put into words how excited we are about this move. More space, more parking, a knitting lounge, hardwood floors throughout, four fireplaces, and there is even talk about a “guy’s room” so you can bring your significant other along while you shop. We are making every effort to make our new location a true hideaway. We will continue to add more companies, patterns, books and watch for our cross-stitch selection to grow over the coming months.
Here are the important dates for our move:
September 13th - 17th CLOSED
September 18th & 19th GRAND RE-OPENING
GRAND RE-OPENING EVENT
SEPTEMBER 18th & 19th
Come and help us celebrate our new location! We will have food and drinks available. As a special thanks, come in for a FREE GIFT with any $15
purchase during our celebration!
In case you haven’t heard, the hot items this fall are ponchos. We have gotten in dozens of poncho patterns for you to choose from. Come in and let us help you pick out a pattern and yarn to knit yourself a truely personal, and unique, poncho this fall. We will be offering classes if you are a little hesitant about tackling it on your own. Check out our complete line of classes we have scheduled for this fall. More than ever, it is important to get a place early, we are expecting several classes to fill up quickly.

New Arrivals
We have gotten in so much yarn over the last couple months, not to mention a tremendous selection we are adding for fall, that I can only briefly mention all the new companies and lines we are, and will be, carrying.
Colinette
From Wales, Colinette is an absolutely beautiful hand-dyed yarn. We are carrying almost every line they offer. If you are interested in The Absolutely Fabulous Throw Kit, we will be more than happy to place a special order in any color. In addition to the lines and colors we are currently carrying, we are expecting a HUGE shipment in time for our Grand Re-Opening. Here is a quick rundown of the lines we are and will carry: Giotto, Chrysalis, Isis, Point 5, Shimmer 5, Prism, Tagliatelli and Zanziba.
Mission Falls
We added Mission Falls’ 1824 Cotton during the Spring, and we decided to keep it around throughout the fall and winter. It is a wonderful 100% Cotton yarn that is great for those knitting for someone that is allergic to wool.

Whether you want to do a scarf or add something extra special to any project, Ironstone is perfect. Lines we are currently stocking: Desert Flower, Paris Nights, Pizzazz, Showstopper and Starlights.
South West Trading Company
The most talked about new line we are carrying comes from the South West Trading Company. They have made yarn not only from soy, but also have a line that is made from 100% Bamboo. The lines were a currently stocking are: Bella, Sophia, Bamboo, Oasis and Phoenix.

We have added so many new patterns, we are not sure where they all are going to go. To keep up with the poncho craze, we are stocking tons of different poncho patterns from several new companies.
