Lambikin's Happenings Newsletter - Fall 2008
Fall is upon us and you know what that means, apples and pumpkins and beautiful colors, and most of all, wonderful wools! Fall always make me want to sit down with a great cup of apple cider, and knit on my favorite sweaters.
This fall we have some great thing lined up at the store. We will be having a UFO finishing day, Log Cabin knit along finishing day, and a teacher work shop in December.
New fall yarns are coming in by the boxes, and we are having some wonderful classes to help you create the projects in your minds.
Our first event will be our Fall Fashion Show/Yarn Tasting event. This will be held Sunday October 12th from 1-3PM. We will have tickets on sale for this event for $15 and will be on sale until October 1st. Last years’ event was such a great success that we are going to do it again this year. The yarn tasting part of the event will be a sampling of the new fall yarns around the store. The Fashion Show part will be where customers will get to show off their knits that they have been working on. We will have food, fun, and some surprises going on that day.
We are very excited to have Beth Brown-Reinsel coming back to teach the first weekend of December. She will be teaching Twined Knitted Textured Mittens and Aran Pullovers from the Neck Down. We have a few spaces left in both classes so if you are thinking about siging up, come on over. The classes are $80 / class or $150 for both. We have the decriptions in the store for each class.
We are bringing back the yarn of the month starting in September. Each month we will be showcasing a new yarn for fall. For those who have our frequent buyer card, the yarn of the month will be 10% off for that month. Any pattern for that yarn will be 5% off for that month.
September’s Yarn of the Month will be Reynolds Rise and Shine. This is a DK-weight cotton yarn that has many available colors.
A new tradition that we are starting at the shop in September is the Lambikin’s Birthday Club. If you come in to shop with us on your birthday, show us you drivers license with your birthdate and you will receive a coupon for 10% off a one time purchase during the month of your birthday. If your birthday is within the last week of the month, your coupon will be good for the following month.

New Products
We are very excited to welcome some new yarns into the store for this fall. We have many new yarns and colors arriving daily.
Our first new yarn is Reynolds Cricket. This is a DK-weight yarn that knits to 5 sts / inch. There are 8 new colors of this beautiful yarn. It is 52% Rayon and 48% wool. We have a wonderful model up in the shop and there are some great patterns to go along with the yarn.
The next yarn is Reynolds Hopscotch. This is a new addition to the kids line. There are 15 great colors of this washable wool. Hopscotch is a DK yarn with 109 yards.
There is a new kids pattern book that showcases this yarn, and shows the subtitutions between this yarn and the other kids line.
There are new colors in all of the other Reynolds kids lines that have come in as well.
A new shipment of Classic Elite La Gran mohair will be arriving the beginning of September.
We have Crystal Palace Cotton Chenille returning to the store. There are over 15 colors that are on their way.
We have a new handdyed fingering weight sock yarn in the store from Maui. It is called Maui Yarns. For those of you who remember Sara, this is her line of yarn. We have had it in for a few months, and we will be carring more colors. One skein is enough for a pair of socks.
Starting in September, we will be having new shipments of yarn arriving at the store monthly, so be sure to ask what’s new when you come in.
